It's that time of the year again when Instagram becomes filled with hot celebs taking selfies in Forever 21's finest attire while riding giant swan floaties in fancy pools and only occasionally checking out music sets. It's Coachella!
And for those of us who will never actually attend the festival - which is confusing because full days out in the heat surrounded by thousands of 20 year olds in crop tops and flower crowns seems like an absolute treat. Of course, that doesn't mean that Coachella isn't the best time of the year to admire all of the non-musical things that this popular music festival offers to those of us who live vicariously through celebrities. So here are just some of the very random highlights from the first weekend of Coachella in no particular order and for no particular reason...
For those who said that staying in on a Friday night to perfect the Work From Home music video dance was "lame," "weird" and will "seal my fate as a spinster," eat your words because famous singers and models are taking breaks in their festival activities to learn it too so it can't be THAT weird. Hear that Mom and Dad?!
And for actual music fans - watch the performances on Coachella's Youtube . Unlike people there - you can actually see the stage!

Couples Galore
There is nothing that people love more than being nosy about other people's love lives so seeing celeb couples out and about is an absolute dream. What makes it even better though is knowing that with the crowds, heat and long days - all of them probably got in very awkward, public arguments like regular couples.

New Couple Alert
Even better than seeing established celebrity couples out and about is assuming that two famous people together are dating. Sure, I've been out with male friends with no romantic connections but if Rihanna and Leo are watching a show together, you KNOW they are banging and that is something that needs to consume my life. Also cool Michigan hat, Leo - way to throw your success, wealth and lack of a degree in college grads' faces.Vanessa Hudgens
Let's be honest, you can't think Coachella without thinking about Vanessa Hudgens. It's as if the Coachella festival creators went into a lab to create a real life representation of cultural appropriation and weird dance moves to up ticket sales. Unfortunately, this year did not yield any offensive Native American headdresses yet BUT there is whatever is happening here so thanks for not letting us down Baby-V -Debut of Goth Taylor Swift
As much as I hate to admit it, I can't not care about everything that Tay Swizzle does. So naturally the bleach blonde addition to her Anna Wintour haircut, chokers and all black attire hint at an all new Tay on the horizon. As if we weren't already disappointed at how Tom Felton grew up in the looks department, our childhood selves are even more shocked to see that he is the type of guy who wears undershirts as actual shirts, chills with a Pretty Little Liar and cannot for the life of himself fool anyone into thinking that he is sober. Play it cool, man.

#FreeKesha people rejoice - our favorite lady who taught us that brushing teeth with a bottle Jack is a good alternative to toothpaste made her Coachella appearance with Zedd this weekend. Whether it was a good performance or not is irrelevant. She was THERE.

Chokers Are The New Flower Crowns
Despite what the Coachella snapchat filter may have led you to believe, this year's festival was filled with chokers not flower crowns. Taylor Swift predicted this trend on Instagram first which can lead us all to believe that she is some type of fashion psychic (finally!). I would like to also now predict that the next big trend will be choker tan lines.
The Jenner Girls Brought Their A-Game
It's no surprise that Kendall and Kylie would be at Coachella and even less of a surprise that they would deliver on the questionable fashion front. From Kendall's see-through lace bra as a top to Kylie's mermaid wig paired with a tacky Louis Vuitton swimsuit and scarf, children everywhere should remember that when you are rich you can get away with anything.
Reese Witherspoon Is A Coooool Mom
Though there isn't a picture of her actually at the festival, forever cutie Reese Witherspoon claims to have been at Coachella. I am skeptical because she doesn't seem to be wearing a single item from Forever 21 but that is a pretty cool watermelon pool floatie so we will let it slide.
The Rental Houses!
Coachella pictures tend to feature one of three things - the ferris wheel, selfies and rental houses. Sure there are some pretty amazing performances at the festival too but that is nothing compared to shots of a house with a pool. You just don't see those everyday.
